This week was truly an exciting one for Karma411. We have relocated our blog. You can now read our updates and enjoy our creative online fundraising ideas at www.karma411.com/blog. We’d like to call your attention to a featured campaign on Karma411. The Mental Health Association of Nassau County’s Annual Membership Campaign is in progress and ends March 31. Your investment helps to support the 32 Programs and Services that people struggling with mental illness utilize. We’d like to encourage everyone to become a supporter of this great cause. Another campaign that’s just underway is a Run/Walkathon supporting R`Baby. The walkathon will take place in NYC’s Central Park on Mother’s Day, 2010. Last year, R`Baby’s Walkathon Campaign, on Karma411, raised over $750 thousand. If you can’t make it to walk, you can still set up a campaign page to raise funds by clicking here.

Lastly, we’d like to share yet another success story on Karma411. In mid-February, The City of Glendora hosted the 1st Annual Glendora Wine Walk, benefitting the Bryan Clay Foundation. Raising over $8,000, the campaign will help the Bryan Clay Foundation “Build Champions, and Change Lives.” Congratulations to the Bryan Clay Foundation and the Glendora Village Business District.

Success stories on Karma411

Karma411 is proud to share the success of two different campaigns that are both supporting the same cause. Members of The Woodlands Community Temple and The Dobbs Ferry Lutheran Church have both created campaigns on Karma411 to promote efforts of rebuilding in a town in Mississippi, where residents are still recovering from the damages of Hurricane Katrina. Together, they have raised almost 10,000 dollars and their support has gone a long way in helping Katrina victims.

Over the past decade, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become an area of ongoing development. Karma411 has a lot to share this week. There are a lot of exciting things that have happened over the past couple of weeks. Karma411 Update

Another eventful week for Karma411. On Wednesday, Education and Assistance Corp organized a shopping spree event to help put smiles on children not living at home for the holidays. Karma411, represented by Campaign Specialist--Eric Maccabi, volunteered at the event to help children select gifts, toys, and clothing. Click here to learn more about EAC and what they do.

We would also like to draw special attention to yet another successful campaign on Karma411.com. North Shore Land Alliance Inc. is an organization devoted to protecting the natural rural feeling and open space of the North Shore of Long Island. They created an awareness campaign to help protect the Banfi fields from development. This campaign has been a monumental success, with over 1300 supporters signing the digital petition.

Today the Karma411 team attended Association of Fundraising Professionals on Long Island's Philanthropy Day Conference. Karma411 hosted an exhibitor booth and Karma411's Jules Strachman was a Committee member for the event.

Karma411 Releases Registration Campaign

Earlier this week, Karma411 unveiled Registration Campaigns! There are three new campaign types to allow supporters to register for different situations. We've created a Team Registration campaign type, an Event Registration campaign type and a Membership Registration campaign type, all with registration forms that supporters can fill out.

With these new campaign types, it's now easier than ever to host a fundraising event, create a team supporting a cause, or build a society devoted to helping a nonprofit. To start, we'd like to congratulate New York and the Yankees on their World Series Victory! It's a beautiful day for a parade!

This week was an exciting one as we've added a new member to the Karma411 Team. Meredith Green is a high school intern and the newest member of the Karma team. We look forward to the extent Meredith can contribute to Karma411.

Karma411 October 2009 Update

October was full of excitement starting from the first week. The Karma411 team volunteered once again at the Herstory Writers annual benefit luncheon. Members of Karma411 hosted a station at the event and gave guests the ability to use their credit cards to support Herstory's cause. With Karma411's help, the organization raised over $14,000.

Later that month, Karma411 co-founder, Marisa Fasciano, was a panelist at the WCBS Capital One Small Business Breakfast discussing: Navigating the Road to Recovery.

Just two days later, Karma411 was back in action at the Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce annual Conference. The council unveiled their new website, developed by Karma411.com, which provides an information portal for all the local chambers in the Nassau Council. Not only is this site fully equipped with an RSS feed, but this new technology also offers a Web2.0 tool, which enables each of the local Chambers of Commerce to broadcast their news and upcoming events on the Nassau Council's site. October came to a close with a Halloween Party benefiting Education and Assistance Corp. EAC's annual Halloween Party "Celebrating Children" took place on October 29th. September was a very exciting month for Karma411. Auction Campaigns were officially released with the first one being for Child Care Council of Nassau's Golf Classic. Child Care Council of Nassau kicked off an online auction campaign to enhance their live auction at the golf outing. Later in September, Jules Strachman, Karma411 Business Development Associate, moderated the panel at AFPLI’s monthly breakfast discussing Small Shop Fundraising: Big Time Impact. Eric Maccabi, Karma411 Campaign Specialist also attended the event and hosted the exhibitor booth during the conference.

July started off with a great acquisition for Karma411 with the hiring of Campaign Specialist, Eric Maccabi, to join the Karma411 Business Development team. Eric is currently an undergraduate Math Major and Business Minor at CUNY Queens College. His interests in helping nonprofits, and his familiarity with online social networking, make him a perfect fit to the Karma team.

June was an eventful month for us. Karma411 Sponsored the Association for Fundraising Professionals on Long Island Conference titled: Special Events Now,Reports from the Trenches.

Soon after that, Karma411's Jules Strachman and Lauren Lo Bue, of Early Years Institute, presented at a SNAP Conference. They spoke about Social Networking, Marketing, and the effects they have on annual giving for nonprofits.
